Collection and Disposal of Scrap Metal for Routine Tasks

Provision of a disposal service for the contractor to manage and supply skips, Roll on Roll Off (RoRo) containers, flatbeds, or bulker lorries or other transportation medium identified from the outset of each individual routine task.




With regards to lot 1 the contracts may be required to handle and disposal of classified and/or sensitive items such as assets subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Attractive to Criminals and Terrorist Organisations (ACTO).

A service to be provided by the contractor to manage the recovery, collection, storage and disposal of redundant MOD Scrap Metal Assets and material

The authority's definition of redundant assets is the collection and recovery of metal equipment and materiel that are assets or structures that may need to be deconstructed or taken apart onsite prior to transporting, this may include wide loads, over 2.89 million, loading equipment where a unit or establishment is unable to load the assets onto a suitable vehicle, or a specialised vehicle.




With regards to lot 2 the contracts may be required to handle and disposal of classified and/or sensitive items such as assets subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Attractive to Criminals and Terrorist Organisations (ACTO).

The authority will apply all the offences listed in Article 39(1) of Directive 2009/81/EC (implemented as Regulation 23(1) of the Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations (DSPCR) 2011 in the UK) and all of the professional misconducts listed at Article 39(2) of Directive 2009/81/EC (see also Regulation 23(2) in the DSPCR 2011) to the decision of whether a candidate is eligible to be invited to tender.
