The Scottish Land Commission intends to commission a suitably experienced contractor to assess the consequences of vacant and derelict land on communities. The purpose of the study is to produce a report that:
- Provides a good understanding of the nature of consequences of vacant and derelict land on surrounding communities;
- Recommend a practical approach that local authorities and other organisations could use to measure the harmful effects of vacant and derelict sites.
