Diese Informationsabfrage dient zur Information der späteren Auftraggeberin über die am Markt verfügbaren Produkte und technischen Lösungen. Weitergehende Informationen bzw. der Einladungslink zum RFI können nach Registrierung unter der unter Ziffer 1.3) genannte URL eingesehen werden. Die Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (rnv) ist der größte Mobilitätsdienstleister der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar. Auf rund 301 Kilometer Linienlänge sind 190 elektrische Stadt- und Straßenbahnen im Einsatz. Damit erbringt die rnv schon jetzt gut 3 Viertel ihrer Beförderungsleistung ohne lokalen Schadstoffausstoß und weitgehend CO2-neutral. Erklärtes Ziel der rnv und ihrer Gesellschafter, der Städte Mannheim, Heidelberg und Ludwigshafen, ist es, das komplette Verkehrsangebot auf Elektromobilität umzustellen, also auch den Busverkehr. Hierfür hat die rnv seit 2015 bereits mehrere erfolgreiche Schritte unternommen und verschiedene Technologien auf ihre Praxistauglichkeit getestet. Ein Ergebnis dieser Tests war, dass großes Potenzial für eine zügige Umstellung der gesamten rnv-Busflotte auf emissionsfreien Antrieb vorhanden ist. Aus diesem Grund führt die rnv nun eine Markterkundung zum Thema Last- und Lademanagementsystem durch.
